First look: The new Wisteria store

by | Home

Today, FD got a sneak peek at Wisteria’s new Inwood Village digs. The company opened its first brick-and-mortar store five years ago at 6500 Cedar Springs Road, by Love Field. That first location housed both a retail store and a flea market that sold items at a reduced price. But last month, that store was shuttered in preparation for the big move to a 7,000-square-foot retail space along Inwood Road. The new store boasts a showroom ambience, with inspirational room vignettes throughout, a concept that will serve as the footprint for the company’s future retail spaces. Despite the fact that it was 85 degrees today, we love the fact that holiday decor was front and center at Wisteria. (We’ve been sporting plaid and boots around the office for weeks, in hopes of ushering in winter.) As for that flea section at the original store, where a good deal could always be had? Have no fear: A 15,000-square-foot Wisteria outlet will be opening in late November in Farmers Branch. Wisteria at Inwood Village will open to the public the week of October 26. — Anna Fialho Byers
